Erick Marroquin, Esq.
Erick Marroquin was born in Guatemala and immigrated to the United States at the age of five. He was raised in Brooklyn and Queens, where his immigrant experience continues to shape his commitment to serving immigrant communities.

Erick Marroquin, widely known as “El Abogado Marroquin,” is an experienced immigration attorney focusing on deportation defense, family-based immigration, and humanitarian relief, including U-Visa and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS).
He earned his B.A. from CUNY Queens College and his J.D. from Touro Law School, where he received the Equality for Immigration Rights Award and the CALI Award for excellence in immigration law.
He established the Touro Chapter of the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project.
Now known as the International Refugee Assistance Project.

While in law school, Erick Marroquin served as a staff writer for the American Bar Association (ABA) Criminal Justice Young Lawyers Committee and contributed to his school’s Journal of Race, Gender, and Ethnicity, focusing on issues impacting underrepresented communities.
He also gained hands-on experience by working with several nonprofit organizations that provide immigration legal services to Latino families in New York. These included the Central American Refugee Center (CARECEN), the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), and inMotion (now known as Her Justice), where he supported clients in matters ranging from humanitarian relief to family-based immigration.
During his second year of law school, Erick Marroquin served as a summer law clerk at the Newark Immigration Court in New Jersey, where he worked directly with immigration judges and attorney advisors, assisting with legal research and drafting judicial opinions.

Throughout his career, Erick Marroquin has remained committed to education and community outreach, organizing immigration workshops at churches and community forums to empower and inform immigrant families.
He continues to advocate fiercely in immigration courts and before government agencies. Erick is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
